Iconic rap metal band Rage Against The Machine will be playing its first ever hometown show in over 10 years. They have decided to perform at the Hollywood in Los Angeles on Friday.
The concert also features Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band and is purely a benefit concert so as to protest against the notorious unlawful immigration laws of the state of Arizona.
This protest concert is organized by Sound Strike. This is a coalition of several artists who are all brought together under the same umbrella to protest against the law by the volatile Ratm frontman Zack De la Rocha and Oberst.
The band had held a press conference at Palladium, where they were joined by Chris Newman, who happens to be the lead counsel in the fight in opposition to the Arizona SB 1070.
The band and Chris were also joined by several other activists. Zach also proclaimed that this wasn’t any issue about Latino or immigration, it dealt with basic human self-esteem.
