Legendary Hollywood actress late Marilyn Monroe’s house in Los Angeles is on sale for US$ 3.6 million. The Bus Stop star died at the age of 36 years in 1962 after taking an overdose of sleeping pills. She was found lying dead on the bed with a telephone receiver in hand.

The house of Monroe has three-bathrooms with thick walls, original wood beamed ceilings, polished concrete and terra cotta tile floors, casement windows and period hardware and tiles. The Spanish-style home is situated in the high-end Brentwood suburb, which is the only home Marilyn ever owned. A website, which tracks the news of commercial and residential real estate, reported the news.
The news of selling this celebrity’s house got a good response as many potential buyers gathered in front of the gate to have a look at the one storey home.

In 1962, the lush 23,000 square-foot property was purchased by Monroe for only $90,000. The actress could stay in this home for only six months before her death. She got the home decorated in authentic Mexican décor, which was comparatively modest for a star like her.

The swimming pool outside her home was one of her favorite places but she never went for a swim there. The home was constructed in 1929 and was remodeled many times but it maintains most of its original details.
